(Nice find G.)
I made this video to show you how I brighten up a LBD for summer. But it now also applies to my lesson on making a statement with your accessories.
The necklace I’m wearing in this video garnered at least 10 compliments last night. For $32 from Jessie James, it was a great find.
I blogged when I bought it with Megs, remember?

This “simple, versatile, and essetial” collection offers classic styles in a rainbow of colors. Basically, your everyday shoe that goes with everything. The price is right for the quality so you can grab 2 pairs for around $100 (the price of one pair of Bernardo’s)
FOR SPRING FOREVER - Erica Courtney Jewelry
And how am I going to make my Gustavo Cadile dress shine? With the utlra-femme and fab designs of Erica Courtney that is adored by every A list celeb you can name. :: She’s been a friend for years, and I jump at the chance to wear her bling.
Without any label in sight, I can spot her pieces a mile away. She’s mastered an ornate signature style that seals the deal on any ensemble. Every woman needs at least one EC design that she can to an outfit when she feels like you want a little sumthin’ sumthin’ more. Hopefully, one day, I’ll be wearing one of her rings on a daily basis ;)
Around 2pm, I’ll be at her Robertson boutique next to the Ivy selecting the icing on my Streamy cake.
Woot, bam, thank you m’am, I’m excited to get dressed up!
SPRING TREND - SAM EDELMAN FLATS
Out with the Bernardo flip flops, in with the Sam Edelman gladiator sandals. Yep, they’re still in so either bust out the ones from last year or pick up a new pair from SE.
They have every color of the rainbow in about 4 different gladiator styles. Check out the online selection at ShopStyle. They run around $90-$100 and I’ll guarantee you’ll wear out every penny because they are ridiculously comfortable.
Megs is OBSESSED with Soho Gem. I’m trying to work, and all she can talk about are stackable rings.
“Meghan is drunkenly trying to buy herself a wedding ring.” —MA
Don’t tell Julia we’re shopping. Shhhhh.
My readers always ask where they can find affordable jewelry to wear everyday. Gaby at Celeb Style Jewelry has the perfect solution.
I bought eternity bands ($30) for the girls and I to celebrate our launch of NonSociety. When the site takes off, I’ll replace them with real ones.
Have you read our first ADVICE BOX question: Why do women buy shoes that only appeal to other women?? My shoes are case and point. 3 out of 4 guys at this party don’t like my shoes. All of the girls LOVE them. At the end of the day, I bought them for me and I adore them. I’ll tell you this much, I’m loving looking at them more than wearing them at this point. Ahhh.
Can you figure out which Chanel bag belongs to each NonSociety fashionista? All three of us brought Chanel tonight, coincendence??? Actually yes!
Bling for the ensemble from Soho Gem. Apparently I picked out the most expensive pair in the store. Typical.
Running around town picking up dress, jewelry, etc for the opening of the Met tonight. Just noticed the time, it’s 12:56 and I have to be dressed by 5. Oh shit!
A reader picked out my legs and shoes out of about 100 pictures in Bill Cunningham’s On the Street Review for the NYTimes! Wow, I’m impressed.
If you’re a shoe lover, you should watch this video. It outlines amazing shoes he saw around the tents.
“When I look, without a shadow of a doubt, the handbag is less important, and the shoe and the long stretch of leg has arrived in New York with, like a tornado force. You’ve never seen anything like it…And it’s with the dress, the return of the dress…The handbag you don’t even notice. Not to start anyone on a rampage, but it’s already happened.” — Bill Cunningham
All made up and ready for the last day at the tents. Heft asked me as I was leaving if I was wearing lashes this morning. My answer: Nope, Mac’s Plush mascara. A new favorite. Also rocking my Maraquita Masterson earrings. Full Head to Toe later.
Pillip Lilm, it’s what the cool kids wear.
(Check out those shoes, hello, amazing.)
My apologies the coverage of the show sucks. But I did livestream the finale and offer a few pics while you wait for the whole kit and caboodle on style.com.
I will show you the shoes from this show later. Not a fan.
