My This-Is-As-Corporate-As-I-Get Head To Toe:
- Marlene Birger asymmetrical collar blouse - via Tootsies sale
- Adam Lippes skirt - via Tootsies sale
- Jane Mason sterling silver bracelet
- Celeb Style Jewelry ring
- Roger Vivier shoes
I’m so tired of my standard pose so I just threw a few together - crossed legs, flip the collar, puckered lips, hand-on-hip. If only I could do the puckered lip and kissey face at the same time. How annoying would that be?!
Really though….I hate posing. Hence, my poses are lame.
You guys seem pretty anti-harem pants. I can understand that. They aren’t the cutest trend by far, or easy to pull off. And only men who appreciate fashion might consider them sexy.
And as one reader put it, they don’t do anything good for your butt.
Not every piece of clothing has to be flattering.
Check out my outfit from the Into The Storm Screening and Charity Auction the other night.
Harem Head To Toe:
- Emily Armenta gold hoops
- Blouse from Encore
- Silk harem/trouser pants from Intermix
- Jonathan Kelsey shoes
- Chan Luu brown and sterling silver wrap bracelet + David Yurman clasp bracelet + gold/platinum/diamond OX bracelet (designed by my mom)
My ass does look flatter than a pancake in this outfit, but overall I think it’s a cute look. And let’s be honest, I don’t have much to show off back there anyway.

TMI Inspired Head To Toe
On today’s TMI, Adrien and Carson Kressley offer tips on how to make your LBD a bright summer sundress. Of course, my LBD is a jumper, not a shock. After watching the episode, it inspired me to pull out my LBJ and use “pop accessories” as Carson calls bright colored jewelry and shoes for my evening ensemble.
- Turquoise (plastic) necklace from Jessie James
- Black jersey jumper from Encore
- Multi-colored bangle bracelets from Charlotte Russe and other places
- Christian Dior faux croc heels (from Neimans Christmas super sale)
Trends incorporated:
- Jumper
- Chunky necklace
- Stacked bangle bracelets
- Faux croc shoes
ONE PIECE WONDER HEAD TO TOE
I’ve worn this Reiss dress, forwards and backwards, a million times. You saw it here and here, not to mention the countless times it didn’t make the blog in the two and half years I’ve had it.
But, as I always say, you can re-make anything with accessories. So that’s what I did. Instead of buying a new dress, I purchased a new accessory that would jazz up anything in my closet.
The show-stopping necklace is by Ranjana Khan. Unfortunately I didn’t score it at Loehmann’s. The grandeur of the necklace is equal to it’s pricetag at Sak’s - it’s a whopping $760 (with 20% off). Fortunately for me, I had a sizeable credit I had been saving for such an occasion.
I know what you’re thinking, but the price is besides the point here. You’ve seen me create outfits around scarves, bangles, shoes, flowers, and other accessories from all over the place. The point is that you can recreate any outfit with accessories.
Head To Toe:
- CZ drop earrings
- Ranjana Khan necklace
- Reiss dress
- Calvin Klein shoes
- Moe CLICK bag
My red carpet Head to Toe for the Celebrity Apprentice Finale. I had to pull it together for Joan Rivers!
It’s wedding season, and many of you are wondering what to wear. In my opinion, I exemplified classic wedding attire today, so if you’re looking for a simple solution, check out my head to toe.

- Bright but simple accessories
- Cute shoes
- Oversized scarf
A million thanks to Linda Pradka, owner of Ilus - a cocktail dress and gown rental boutique based in SoHo that ships nationwide. I called her yesterday because I was up a creek without a dress. After shopping online, I had her overnight 2 dresses in a size 4 to my hotel in Austin. Both fit, both looked great. And I got a million compliments on my Heidi Weisel dress. THANK YOU LINDA!

Check out Mom’s new location for Encore! Same great designer labels, just more. As you’ll see in the video, I’m head to toe decked out in Encore a lot these days - you really can’t beat her prices.
Stop by, say hi, shop around. If you’re not a Houstonian, check out the Encore tumblr where she posts designer shoes and bags you can call in to purchase.

After surviving another winter in NYC, I was ready to bust out a feminine spring look. And because the event was in LA, I wanted to add a little edge to my traditional dress. The obvious choice would have been chandelier earrings, but how boring is that! Statement jewelry continues to be a strong trend, so I wanted a piece of jewelry to be just as prominent as the dress. The long strand of pearls with the diamond pendant was the perfect piece to rock out this dress.
While pastels will always represent spring, this year, smokey dark colors are trendy accents (jewelry, makeup, nail polish). My shoes (which you will see a few posts back) were gunmetal to match the gray pearls and further skew the outfit from classic to stylish.
Today’s comfortable, I’m-spending-all-day-in-the-car head to toe. Very LA.
Quick note: The fact that I’m wearing two pieces of jewelry from my ex is a complete coincidence. He’s getting married soon, congrats!
