One of my favorite pictures of 2009. Love you and miss you terribly right now! x
GPOYW - Untouched Flickr Account Edition
Last night during a 3 hour pow-wow, my programmer highly suggested I use my flickr account. So like an obedient blogger, I logged in this morning and found pictures I had forgotten all about…from MAY 2008!
A few of my faves:
- Drunken night out with Alex Albrecht (from DiggNation) and Jerry Trainor (from iCarly). One of my 10 funniest nights of all time. Those two are hysterical.
- Football at Red Rock with my boys. So glad I got in a few of those Sundays before the holiday.
- My Princess. I miss our frat house days.
Ok, time to update before I loose a whole year.
My friend G is not engaged…..
As you know John and I are not married and we have no plans to get married. However, with Baby Girl on the way John wanted to give me something special as a symbol of our love and commitment. So at Christmas he surprised me with a beautiful (and very sparkly) eternity ring. The card that went with the present summed it up perfectly. We may be different from other people but we are still family. This year I’ve truly learned what it means to ‘count one’s blessings’.
G and John have more than chemistry, they have crazy synergy. They are truly like two parts of one whole.
In the new year, throw out the window “what you’re supposed to do” and “social standards” along with “what people think” and do what is right for you!
Smile Friday - Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Edition
@AdrienField and @LeslieSanchez are two of my favorite femme fatales who love to move around the world as much as I do. Unfortunately that means these photo ops are rare, but when we get together, damn we have fun.
Thanks tumblr for letting me stay so informed about the intricacies of my friend’s lives and passions. You are so much more fun than Facebook. I really wish my Houston friends would realize this, ditch the updates, and come join us over here in blogging land.
Even though I chatted with Sarah and Adrien today, I still felt as though I was missing something. So I hit up their blogs to find that Adrien was f-ing lucky enough to go to the private preview of Jimmy Choo for H&M (so jealous!) and Sarah is in need of a cool gift for a client (I recommended these, which I will post about later).
Even though I’ve hung out with Mike recently, I checked out his entrepreurial blog to see how he’s aquaiting himself with the task of posting. Honestly, he’s doing a great job! Although a little long winded, his tips are useful, and he lays out the basics for anyone who wants to start their own business. For those of us serial entrepreuers, it’s a great motivation to get back to the basics and remember why we decided to start our own business. Unfortunately he’s not on tumblr, but I’m trying to remedy that.
Julie, Jaclyn enjoyed a beautiful weekend and have been blogging away about their style secrets and fashion cravings. Unfortunately, Tatiana is stuck in the rain…. Ok, so I don’t know those girls in real life, but I feel like I do after reading their upbeat life blogs.
Carolyn, who usually posts the interior of other people’s homes she loves, has set up a lovely table for a bbq tonight. What are you grilling up?
As for you Tom, I feel like you’ve gotten me back from my fanatic fashion week coverage with the scenes from last night’s fight. It’s gross, please stop :)
Ok, now I have to get back to the real reason I sat down at my computer on this beautiful Sunday evening….good to catch up with y’all!

Happy Birthday Laur Laur!
I could honor Lauren with a 101 glamor shots (she’s gorgeous), but I thought it would be a little more fun to remember the high school days when we were inseparable. Meaning, all of our pictures are together and I will have to suffer the embarrassment with her :)
Many apologies I’m missing your special day, but I’m sending you so much love (and a fun gift that you should receive today!)
Doesn’t Leslie look lovely?! Head to Toe: Oliver Peoples sunnies, vintage Gucci dress, Gianfranco Ferre bag, Brian Atwood shoes. Muy linda!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARAH!!! ::
You know Sarah best from all of the delicious, healthy recipes(and mouth-watering pictures) I reblog from her. If you read her blog, you know she’s a lovely, well-rounded, creative, Brittney Spears obsessed 28 year old woman living in NYC.
If you can’t meet her in person, check her out here. How cute is she?! :: This video is from the first night we met over a year ago. Sarah came up to me at a Matt White concert and said she could spot my blonde head a mile away because she loved my blog. I think she was the second person EVER to come up to me, so I was instantly seduced by her flattery. We chatted for a while and I knew we were going to be friends.
My Birthday Card to Sarah ::
I can’t tell you how happy I am to celebrate another year of your life. So today I extend a hope that all of your birthday wishes come true and a big ass thank you.
You are one of the most genuine, intelligent, whimsical women I have met in
New York a long time. You have more talents than I can count on one hand, and I’m grateful you share your insight and experiences with me. I’ve learned so much from you about not only the digital space, but also friendship. You’re selfless beyond belief and embrace everyone with open arms.
A big thank you for the strength and support you’ve given me as a true friend. Despite the fact we only met a year ago, I feel like we instantly connected on so many levels to really develop a solid relationship. I can count on your support at any moment to help me get through tough times. You have been a cheerleader to make sure I always reach end zone.
And, you’re fun as hell!
Happy Birthday my love. You are an all-around beautiful woman and I am honored you call me “friend.”
P.S. You know I’d hold out with the search party until the lightning comes!
My Adrien fits in perfectly at TMI! He’s our new fashionista on the street correspondent for Caress — TMI’s latest sponsor.
Adrien’s on deck next at our TMI shoot. Before he even said hello, he was elbows deep in my goodie bag from Allison Brod. J/k when I saw Laura Mercier’s Bare Beige gloss I knew it would be amazing on him. It’s the best shade for a truly nude lip.
My view as I eat breakfast from Kitty’s new Manhattan beach apartment. This is my kind of Manhattan.
Reilly (green shorts) invited me to his Dodgeball tournament after spin this morning. I’m into any competitive team sport so I was front and center for the action. Of course Reilly dominated the game. He’s good at every sport he’s ever played.
