Going out on a school night.... :-/
I used to go out on weeknights all the time. During my NYC days, it was part of our networking strategy!
But now…
Not so much.
I like being fed and to bed early. Even if it means I’m working overtime until 2,3,4 in the morning. The daytime sun has won over this night owl, so I prefer to enjoy it to the fullest: working, exercising, socializing, errands, whatever.
I’d like...

When you don't have time to do it yourself
Hire a TaskRabbit!
It’s like Angie’s list for the digital savvy shopper. Love it!
Ok, well, I can’t say I love it because I haven’t tried it, but it sounds amazing. I miss the days of having a part-time assistant…I suppose I could hire a rabbit for a day or two… I wonder if they do data input….
Of course, there’s a catch. At this point,...

More Than MILK giveaway - Enter with one tweet.
Archipelago is one of those brands that does it right. Natural ingredients, quality products, a reputable company, and decent price points. It’s been that way since they started in a garage in 1998!
Today, I get to give away two of my favorites from their line!
Archipelago Oat and Honey Body Butter and the Soy Milk Lotion have different purposes in my opinion. The body butter is for a ...

Ok, here I am :)
Well, hello strangers! I know, I’m the stranger in this scenario. You should know, it was hard to stay away from work and the blog, but once I let myself go, wow, it felt good.
I meant to post this video yesterday morning, but as I’m not a Vimeo Plus member, I had to wait in line, yaddah yaddah.
I just want to say hi with my voice instead of misspellings (giggle, you know you...

Blast off 900 calories in 1 hour?!
That’s the “promise” of Blast900, a group fitness studio that will truly push you to your max. I went to the Atlanta location on a recommendation from reader Emily and loved the workout! (Even if I didn’t hit 900 calories.) And you know I am one tough critic when it comes to fitness.
The class takes place in one small room: two walls are lined with treadmills and the...

Good morning color and commentary
Instead of a cup of coffee, I’m waking up this morning with a pop of color from Erdem’s Spring 2012 collection. LOVE the pattern. Thanks to Neimans’ “new” tumblr? I’m not sure if it’s new, but I discovered it this morning via their twitter. It’s pleasant, nothing revolutionary.
Speaking of tumblr, I don’t go to my dashboard as much...

A THOUGHTFUL Valentine's Day gift guide (with a...
Just when you thought the hunt for the perfect present was finally over, there’s another Hallmark holiday that strongly suggests you show your love with a gift. What I like about Valentine’s day is that the gift(s) you give are truly about the thought, not the necessity or price tag.
Obviously I don’t know who you’re shopping for, but I thought it would be fun to offer...

Monday's Valentine's Day gift guide will be my...
Well, I’m off.
Like, don’t write, don’t call, I’m leaving my computer at home! For the first time in my life.
I am sooooooo excited.
Monday I’ll post a very extensive gift guide to help you for the upcoming holiday and then you’re on your own for a couple weeks.
Good luck at the gym, in the kitchen, at work. I know you’ll live, I’m just a...

A MUST SEE concert for 2012
Fitz and The Tantrums could possibly be the best thing I saw at CES in Las Vegas. And might go down as one of my top 10 bands to see live. Kudos and many thanks to CNET for bringing them to headline their party.
You probably already know about them and have heard their first hit “MoneyGrabber.” (You know I’m a little slow on the music uptake.) But! If you have never...

DIY CHEESE??!
I’ve never considered making cheese at home…I didn’t know I could….According to this WSJ article, DIY cheese is the latest craze. Seeing the headline my first thought was that the process seems tedious and intimidating. Kinda how I think about pickling (which I have yet to try).
The article led me to Claudia Lucero, the founder of Urban Cheesecraft kits in...

Managing your diet without being on a diet
Since you are always curious about how I maintain my figure, I thought I’d offer you this insight:
Make your own lunch and take it with you ANYWHERE.
Right now I’m eating this blend of leftovers in my car before I head into a meeting. I’ll pack little meals like this for plane rides, road trips, and days like today when I’m all over the city. This way I don’t...
